EMDR Consultation and supervision
Now that you’ve completed your basic EMDR training, it’s imperative you have an expert consultant to help you feel both confident and curious as you continue to learn.
While our basic EMDR training supports us treating clients with single-incident trauma, it does not give us enough to treat complex PTSD that is often a result of generational trauma passed down in families, relational trauma, or attachment trauma. These cases often present with the labels of DDNOS/DID, borderline, and addiction.
As an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Clinician and a former Director of Education at Stanford School of Medicine, I am passionate about teaching other therapists more advanced methods to utilize the powerful benefits of EMDR with their clients.
My joy of learner-centered teaching is the wellspring of my EMDR consultation services. In addition to my Master’s Degree in Psychology, I have a second Master’s Degree in Education from Vanderbilt University that prepared me to spend 14 years at Stanford University School of Medicine training faculty physicians, medical trainees, nurses, and social workers from around the world. My extensive background researching and creating curriculum, teaching, and evaluating increases in learner knowledge, skills and attitudes was masterfully developed at the Stanford Faculty Development Center. My expertise in both education and psychology led to me be an invited speaker at national medical and education conferences, and a reviewer and published author in peer-reviewed journals such as Academic Psychiatry and Academic Medicine. I am incredibly excited to share these skills with therapists through EMDR supervision and consultation.
EMDR consultation and supervision is available for therapists at my psychotherapy practice in Campbell, CA or online. Topics may include treatment protocols, case conceptualization, navigating complex clinical cases, and new research developments. Consultation services are available for pre-licensed and licensed therapists who are not only committed to enhancing the clinical excellence of their psychotherapy work, but also growing a highly successful private practice. Groups are run on a semester schedule, with offerings in Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
