This is the place people come when they are ready to be done. As a relational and attachment trauma expert, I help expand my clients’ ability to differentiate between the sound of their intuition guiding them and their traumas misleading them. As a Certified EMDR Clinician and former Director at Stanford Medical School, I offer clients evidence-based therapy, as well as internationally recognized expertise in how people learn and change from 20 years of training, research, and teaching at Vanderbilt and Stanford. As the Founder and Clinical Director of Kambria Evans Psychotherapy, an EMDR Therapy and Training Center, I believe in clinical excellence, always.

By providing a relational approach along with advanced psychotherapy training (e.g. EMDR, complex developmental trauma, attachment theory, neuroscience, CBT, ego states, somatic experiencing), we partner to:

  • Discover the origins of limiting beliefs in order to update old narratives about how you get to show up in the world, who you are, and what you deserve

  • Alleviate anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms through a positive, growth-oriented process grounded in the philosophy that everyone is seeking wholeness

In addition to my Master’s Degree in Psychology, I have a second Master’s Degree in Education from Vanderbilt University that prepared me to spend 14 years at Stanford University School of Medicine training faculty physicians, medical trainees, nurses, and social workers from around the world. My strong expertise in both education and psychology led to me be an invited speaker at national medical conferences, and a reviewer and published author in peer-reviewed journals such as Academic Psychiatry and Academic Medicine.

Most importantly, I am, like you, a person who needs help sometimes. My own personal experiences overcoming trauma give me a deep empathy, understanding, and attunement with my clients. My deeply impactful experience with EMDR (as a client) is the reason I have chosen to seek out extensive training in this powerful modality. Witnessing the positive shifts in my EMDR clients continues to be one of the greatest joys in my life.
